After Sophie Cunningham Takes a Dirty Shot, a Massive Brawl Breaks Out

Sophie Cunningham raised her voice as the Indiana Fever vs Connecticut Sun game deteriorated into mayhem. Players were just hoping to get it over with so they could go home when they were ahead by as much as twenty.

Sadly, things wouldn’t work out that way. During the game’s third quarter, Caitlin Clark was directly in the midst of a furious fight that led to many players receiving technical fouls.

Early in the game, Clark and Sun guard Jacy Sheldon got into a heated argument. In what appeared to be a heated exchange of words, the two laid the groundwork for what was to happen.

Both teams’ players hurried to get in the way of the two players. The whole scenario became much more dramatic when Sun guard Marina Mabrey shoved Clark to the ground later in the game.

Sophie Cunningham made the decision to make her impact on the game late in the fourth quarter. Cunningham caught Jacy Sheldon by the neck and threw her to the ground as she was heading for the basket.
