Some people believe that Travis Hunter, the 2024 Heisman Trophy winner, had one of the greatest regular-season performances in college football history. He may be the greatest all-around athlete in today’s sports world, as evidenced by his outstanding performances on both sides of the ball, which were among the most remarkable of this generation.
While answering questions from fans on the most recent edition of The Travis Hunter Show, Hunter was asked who he thought should be recognized as the most versatile athlete in all of sports.
Travis Hunter talks about being versatile
Not wasting any time, he declared, “Me.” It’s me, for sure”. He kept fans informed: “I can play basketball… I can run track, I can do long jump, high jump in track. I can do the mile and the 400. I can play baseball if I felt like it.”
The former Colorado Buffalo then enumerated a few of the several sports he feels he excels at. Hunter was full of self-confidence, but he was also honest enough to acknowledge that he wasn’t the best at everything. He claims that several sports, like ping pong, tennis, and golf, are outside of his comfort zone. But he quickly changed his direction and resumed talking about his strong points.
The 21-year-old is trying his hardest to convince NFL scouts of his swimming prowess, even going so far as to say that he’s “Like Michael Phelps.”
In two seasons, Hunter’s offensive totals included 1,979 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns on 153 grabs.
