In a surprising revelation, Mike Tyson has admitted that he doesn’t remember much of his November fight with Jake Paul. Tyson’s memory lapse may have played a significant role in what unfolded in the ring at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

“I don’t remember the fight that much, I kind of blanked out,” he said during an interview on Fox Sports Radio’s Covino and Rich (via Charlotte Daly of the Daily Mail). “I haven’t watched the fight back.

“You know what I remember… coming back from the first round and Jake was doing some sort of bow… that’s the last thing I remember.”

During the clash, Tyson managed to land only 18 punches, while Paul delivered a staggering total of 78 punches, ultimately leading to his victory through unanimous decision.

Although it was expected that Tyson’s performance wouldn’t match his prime days due to his age of 58, the lack of offense displayed by the former champion was still quite astonishing.

Tyson’s memory loss during the fight might explain why he struggled to execute his strategy effectively. Perhaps he experienced a moment where he “blanked out,” hindering his ability to perform at his best.
