So, if you’ve been following the news, you might have heard about this stabbing incident. The authorities have some video evidence that shows Karmelo Anthony supposedly stabbing Austin Metcalf.
Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m dying to see this video. I mean, if it exists, it’s going to be pretty crazy. I can just imagine how things played out. Plus, I want to know what happened. I mean, did Karmelo do it? Or is this all some sort of big misunderstanding?
But here’s the thing: the authorities are keeping this video under wraps as investigations are still ongoing.
Metcalf was stabbed and killed at a track meet on April 2. In addition to track and field, he was a linebacker on the Memorial High School football team.
On April 2, the 17-year-old was killed at a UIL District 11-5A track meet at Kuykendall Stadium.
Police said a student from Centennial High School in Frisco, 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony, stabbed Metcalf in the chest during a fight over where he was seated.
Athletic trainers told first responders Metcalf was not conscious and not breathing, and despite performing lifesaving measures on the wounded victim, from CPR to blood administration, the teen died at the scene.
Anthony was arrested and is now charged with first-degree murder and is in the Collin County jail on a $1 million bond.
Now, there is a report that footage of the incident has been obtained.
“Authorities have reportedly collected video evidence of the confrontation between two Texas teens that resulted in a fatal stabbing during a high school track meet in Frisco, Texas, on April 2,” per The Post Millennial.
Police said Anthony allegedly confessed to the killing on claims of self-defense.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Hopefully, the truth will come out soon and we can finally put an end to all this speculation. But until then, I’ll be here, refreshing my news feed, waiting for any updates on this case.
