JJ Redick went brutal on Bronny James’ performance in a game against the Philadelphia 76ers, and let’s just say it wasn’t the best. Now, before we dive into the details, we have to give credit where credit is due. Bronny is a talented young player and has a bright future ahead of him. But, according to Redick, he didn’t quite live up to expectations in this particular game.

Now, we all know that the Philadelphia 76ers are a tough team to beat. They’ve got some serious talent on their roster, so it’s no surprise that Bronny had a bit of a rough time.

Bronny didn’t score a single point – shooting 0-5 from the floor and 0-3 from 3PT range – as the Lakers fell 118-104.

Speaking to the media after the game, Redick didn’t paint the most positive picture of Bronny’s evening – but he didn’t exactly discard him either.

‘It just felt like on a back-to-back, just him giving us energy I think was the goal. I maybe put him in a tough spot flying up yesterday and, you know, nationally televised game in Philly,’ Redick told reporters.

‘He didn’t play well, but he’s been playing great in the “stay ready” games and he’s been playing great in the G.

‘So I have confidence in him, but obviously [he] didn’t provide that on a high level.’Bronny has played in just 12 games after being drafted 55th overall in last year’s NBA Draft.

He’s currently averaging 0.3 points, 0.2 rebounds, and 0.3 assists per game – while averaging 2.4 minutes a game in the NBA.

Meanwhile, down in the G-League, Bronny has played in seven games and averaged 26.9 minutes a game along with 13.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.9 assists.

So, while we can’t deny that Bronny had a bit of a stumble in this game, let’s remember that one game doesn’t define a player. We’re confident that he’ll bounce back and show us what he’s truly made of. After all, it’s all part of the journey in the world of basketball. Keep your head up, Bronny, we’re rooting for you!
