There is no shortage of confidence when it comes to the NFL, and in particular, those who are drafted into the league, ready and waiting to strut their stuff. Just occasionally, there are players whose bluster is well and truly warranted, and that’s certainly how it feels in the case of impressive two-way player Travis Hunter.

The 21-year-old was the second overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and has the type of once-in-a-generation abilities that a franchise dreams of ushering in, and one thing is for certain: Jaguars head coach Liam Coen could well do with some of that stardust sprinkling onto his overall roster.

If you are a fan of the Jacksonville Jaguars and you want to back your team to bounce back from last season’s dismal display, then why not back those hopes with a bet? If you do wish to do so, then these sportsbook promos will make your potential payout even more appealing.

Jaguars fans know all about top draft picks being brought in to elevate their standing, as it was just four years ago that they brought in star quarterback Trevor Lawrence as the first overall pick, with the NFL Pro Bowl pick more than proving himself over the past four seasons.

Travis Hunter is both a cornerback and a wide receiver, and those combined talents are part of the reason the Colorado graduate was so sought after in the draft, and the West Palm Beach-born star in the making is ready to step up into the big time.

When discussing his two-way talents, Hunter commented in a recent statement.

”I’ve been doing it my whole life… I feel like I can dominate on both sides of the ball”

The Heisman Trophy winner is, however, seen by Coen as a more offensive weapon, commenting.

“We’ll have a plan right now of [him playing] primarily on offense, with him learning the defensive system and practicing on the defensive side of the ball as well throughout this offseason program.”

Having completed his draft to the Jaguars, thereby securing a return to Florida, Hunter made a point of heaping praise on his Colorado coach, NFL legend Deion Sanders.

“It’s a blessing to be able to play for him. It got me this far, and I was also able to, you know, win a Heisman Trophy and win a lot more awards you know on the offensive side of the ball and the defensive side of the ball.”

“He let me go out there and just do my thing. So, he let me be able to be myself and that got me in a good place.”

If Hunter can make an impact similar to his former coach, then he will have done very well indeed, and all signs point towards Jacksonville and Coen having secured a real prospect for both the long and short term.

Liam Coen, who was appointed as a replacement to Doug Pederson after a poor 2024, will want to hit the ground running in what is the 39-year-old’s first NFL head coaching role.
