From ‘In Living Color’ to ‘White Chicks’ to ‘In The House’ to ‘Scary Movie’, the Wayans crew has been breaking barriers and redefining comedy for decades.

With Keenen Ivory Wayans at the helm of some of the most game-changing projects, the family’s influence spans TV, film, and stand-up, inspiring generations of Black entertainers.

Aptly, the talented collective will be formally inducted into the coveted Hall during the broadcast of the NAACP Image Awards on February 22.

NAACP President and CEO Derrick Johnson spoke on the family’s achievement saying:

“The Wayans family has set a standard of excellence, and their influence resonated far beyond the stage and screen.”

And they’re not slowing down! A ‘Scary Movie’ reboot is officially in the works, with Keenen, Marlon, and Shawn Wayans bringing the iconic horror-comedy franchise back to life.

From one generation to the next, the Wayans family continues to shape the future of Black entertainment. With this Hall of Fame induction, their impact is officially immortalized.

The 56th NAACP Image Awards will air live on BET and CBS on February 22 at 8 PM  ET/PT.
