The Pop Stop: Jin, Sam Fender, & More Deliver This Week’s Hidden Gems

Readers of That Grape Juice know how passionate we are about music – whether that be past or present.

However, unlike our other segments – Retro Rewind, TGJ Replay, and From The Vault – The Pop Stop is the most in-depth look at Pop songs that may have flown under the radar over the last week that you should know, rather they be from music’s biggest stars or those on the rise.

This week, we want to highlight cuts from Jin, Sam Fender, New Hope Club, and Chappell Roan.

Join us inside…

Jin – The Astronaut

BTS member Jin has just shared his new single. Entitled ‘The Astronaut,’ he delivers a pop-rock tune fit to fill stadium for decades to come.

Sam Fender – Wild Grey Ocean

Sam Fender is gearing up to share the deluxe edition of his 2021 album ‘Seventeen Going Under.’ To celebrate, he has shared the new song ‘Wild Grey Ocean.’ The song sees Fender reflect on a past relationship, which is set to the tune of a delicate piano, a steady backbeat, and rollicking strings. Continuing to prove that he is this generation’s Bruce Springsteen, Fender once again proves he is on his way to legend status.

New Hope Club – Walk It Out

Rising pop group New Hope Club is back with a pair of singles, L.U.S.H. and Walk It Out. The latter continues the bands musical evolution to a more rockbased sound with its pulsating drums, sleek guitar licks, and edgy vocals. Easily a highlight in a sea of new releases, with Walk It Out New Hope Club continues to prove they are THE boy band of the future.

**********

Chappell Roan – Casual

Rising singer-songwriter Chappell Roan is back with her latest song, ‘Casual.’ A song devoted to telling the tale of a situationship that is anything but casual. Set to the tune of fuzzy guitars and hazy drums ‘Casual’ builds to an explosive climax that places the tune apart from Roan’s previous works. Easily Roan’s best song to date, ‘Casual’ is criminally good.
