Rashee Rice, the great receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs, was accused of eight crimes, and the NFL made the decision regarding his possible ban. Last season, Rice participated in four games before sustaining a severe knee injury that ended his season.
Although the Chiefs had a 15-2 record at the end of the previous season and advanced to Super Bowl 59, Rice’s absence from the field was obviously felt by the offense. Their career receiving leader, tight end Travis Kelce, concluded with 97 receptions for 823 yards and three touchdowns.
Rice and his companion, Theodore Knox, were street racing in Dallas on March 30 of last year when they were involved in a multi-vehicle collision.
At 120 mph (191 km/h), Rice was operating a Lamborghini Urus when it collided with four other cars.
Following a brief stay in the hospital due to crash-related injuries, two people were able to recuperate. After turning himself in, Rice was charged with eight counts, including one of collision causing bodily injury and one of aggravated assault.
