DeMarcus Cousins Apologizes For Brawling With Fans In The Puerto Rico Basketball League And Getting Being Banned

You might have heard about DeMarcus Cousins getting into a bit of trouble down in the Puerto Rico Basketball League.

Apparently, he got into a brawl with some fans and ended up getting banned from the league. But don’t worry, he’s come out with a public apology for his actions.

The 34-year-old was playing for Mets de Guaynabo against Bayamon when things turned ugly after a fan began swearing and holding his middle fingers up.

Cousins then lays a hand on the man, before being pulled away by a teammate as tempers continue to rise. A second fan then gets involved before Cousins is dragged to the other side of the court by a teammate, where it is then claimed he got ejected from the game.

Now, after his suspension for the rest of the season, Cousins has spoken out.

‘I want to apologize to the fans of Puerto Rico for my actions,’ Cousins said on Thursday on his Instagram story. ‘I have so much love and respect for the island.’

I mean, we all have bad days, right? Maybe he just had a little too much aggression on the court. Hopefully, DeMarcus has learned his lesson and won’t be throwing hands with fans anymore.
