When not dominating the charts, Taylor Swift‘s music is dominating the headlines.

As widely reported, the Pop star’s catalog was thrust into the spotlight when the master recordings of her first six albums were sold to Scooter Braun. 

Thereafter, Swift flipped the script and began re-recording said projects in what has become the wildly successful ‘Taylor’s Version’ rollout.

Now, years later, there’s potentially another dramatic twist.

After the colossal drama that defined Swift nd Braun’s feud, the mega-manager sold the recordings one year later to investment firm Shamrock Capital for a profit.

It’s now being reported that the company is interested in… selling them back to Swift.

Even more interesting? Braun is reportedly one of the entities encouraging her to make a bid.

When diving into the numbers, it’s little surprise.

Braun purchased the catalog for $300 million in 2019, and the current value is estimated to be between $600 million and $1 billion.

Meaning any such purchase would come with a seismic profit for the seller.

Yet, with Swift having made lucrative lemonade out of the lemons she’s been dealt, we image folk shouldn’t hold their breath for her to dig into her deep pockets.

From ‘Fearless’ to ‘1989’, Swift turned industry drama into a chart-dominating, fan-fueled money machine. Moral of the story? Never underestimate a girl with a pen and a plan.
