Shedeur Sanders Talks Deion Sanders’s Possible Cowboys Move

Jerry Jones and Deion Sanders, are often always in the headlines. That might be a good thing for the first time in a long time, as rumors concerning the current Dallas head coaching vacancy have been sparked by conversations between Jones and NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders.

According to reports, both parties are thinking of holding a private conversation. This last offseason, Jones famously declared that the organization would be “all in” on free agency.

The outcome? They signed former running back Ezekiel Elliot to a one-year contract, finished the 2024 regular season with a 7-10 record, and missed the playoffs. Following five seasons with the team and a 49-35 record, Jones fired Mike McCarthy as head coach at the beginning of the offseason.

Shedeur Sanders spoke out about his feelings regarding the matter when his father was brought up as a possible job contender. The potential NFL quarterback was asked what he thought about the situation on the most recent episode of 2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders. Shedeur said: “It’s a decision on him and him.” 

“It’s not really up to me. I don’t really have a say in anything, at all.” His self-awareness was also on full display as he noted “I’m coming into the league. I don’t really have much of a say… I’m just thankful for whatever situation comes.”

Sanders’ first instinct was to remind everyone that he was ready to join the league. The crucial query, though, is if Deion will leave Colorado to take the head coaching job with the Cowboys.
