With some of the biggest hits of 2024 (see: ‘Espresso‘ and ‘Taste‘), it was no surprise Sabrina Carpenter was one of the leading nominees for the 2025 GRAMMYs.
Before taking to the stage to perform said hits at the ceremony’s main show Sunday night (February 2), the rising Pop songstress found out she had already collected one of the many trophies she was up for.
Entering the 2025 GRAMMYs with a whopping 6 nominations including the Big 4 (Best New Artist as well as Song, Record, and Album of the Year), Carpenter kicked off what her fans are undoubtedly hoping will be a nightlong winning streak by capturing the first trophy presented of the night: Best Pop Solo Performance.
Battling Beyonce‘s ‘Bodyguard,’ Billie Eilish‘s ‘Birds of a Feather,’ Chappell Roan‘s ‘Good Luck, Babe,’ and Charli XCX‘s ‘Apple‘ for the honors, the win also marks the first of Carpenter’s career.
Later in the night, Sabrina’s ‘Espresso’ (2024’s highest-certified female single) also defeated Doechii, Shaboozey, Charli XCX, and Julian Marley for the Best Remixed Recording trophy.
The victories arrive 10 years after the songstress unveiled her first single.
