Though bested in Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song categories, Bey snatched the Best Country Duo/Group Performance for the album’s song ‘II Most Wanted‘ featuring Miley Cyrus.
She becomes the first Black woman to win a Country GRAMMY. Among all Black acts, however, The Pointer Sisters were the first to win a golden gramophone in the genre when they snagged the same category in 1974 for their song ‘Fairytale.’
Already the most-awarded artist in the ceremony’s history, Beyonce has now extended her career winning streak to 33.
