NLE Choppa is in a reflective mood.

In 2024, the rapper enjoyed breakthrough success with ‘Slut Me Out 2’ thanks to the headlines and support it magnetized.

The rapper was particularly embraced by the LGBTQ community – and he was sure to shower them with love too. Case in point his appearance at Atlanta Pride.

Now, though, the MC is waxing candid about the hardship he ensured before, during, and after the spotlight shining on him was intensified in earnest.

Opening up about the judgment he faced, the 22-year-old discussed the misconceptions that he is gay and the condemnation he faced as a result.

Ruminating on the last year, he said:

“I did a humiliation ritual and I passed.”

Also diving into the levels of loss he experienced in his personal life back in 2020, NLE Choppa revealed in the 50-minute he had been s*icidal at a point.

NLE Choppa added:

“All praises to the most high! This year was about me being fearless, brave, and ballsy which was the requirement for me to evolve as a person. God challenged me to step outside of comfort to show when others leave he stays! I intuitively did everything GUT said this year with the guidance of prayer and was crucified by many, appreciated by more even though it felt like few.

This year I’ve endured the most hateful messages but STILL wore love on my sleeve through it all. This 8 year was a spiritual one and damn show was a tough one. Where I come from I was taught to fight fire with fire, hate with hate, but this year I prayed for those who didn’t understand I was being a trailblazer to the path God allowed me to walk in ! While others JUDGED I was blessed because of my DEVOTION.

The “WHY ME?” cry is a lonely and deep cutting one that shows the difficulty of being CHOSEN. The “WHY NOT ME” cry is beautiful one cause the Burden I wore on my back a select few can carry so I’m grateful for the “WHY ME?” Cry. If you left I forgive you, if you stayed I love you.
