New Song: Melanie Fiona – ‘Mona Lisa Smile’

With anticipation building for her comeback EP (due later this year), singer-songwriter Melanie Fiona is meeting the moment by releasing even more of the new music expected to line the set’s tracklist.

After wowing fans with tunes ‘Say Yes‘ and ‘I Choose You‘ late last year, Fiona followed on Friday (February 7) with the heart-tugging new tune ‘Mona Lisa Smile.’

“Perfect picture in a broken frame and / No one ever sees the broken pieces of the painting,” Mel sings soulfully over Andre Harris production.

At the time of the song’s unveiling, the 2x GRAMMY winner said ‘Mona’ serves as an “homage to all the brave, broken, beautiful [women who are] works of art…anyone holding it together despite wanting to fall apart.”

Ultimately branding the inspiration behind emotional tune’s title as “the armor we all wear to protect our pain,” look inside to hear it in full.
