In an Instagram post, Molly Qerim of ESPN revealed that she will be taking a brief break from “First Take.”
Molly Qerim said she was going on vacation with her family and would be back “in a few weeks” before the weekend started. Noting that she’s working on her tan lines, Qerim is going to an unidentified area for the retreat.
It’s normal for well-known ESPN athletes to take an inexplicable break, but Qerim is not a cause for concern. A little vacation is being enjoyed by the 41-year-old before the fall sports season picks back up.
From 2006 till 2010, Qerim was employed at ESPN for her first job. After stints at NFL Network and CBS, she rejoined the Worldwide Leader in Sports in 2015, where she became the full-time host of “First Take” with Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith.
In order to co-host “Undisputed” on Fox Sports 1 with Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe, Bayless left ESPN in 2016. Following Bayless’ departure from FS1 in August of last year and Sharpe’s departure from the network in 2023, the show’s ratings plummeted.
