Mic’d-Up Luka Doncic Blasts Suns’ Poor Defense

How vulnerable he can be against the Phoenix Suns astounds Luka Doncic. As the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Phoenix Suns 107-96 on Sunday, Doncic and Kevin Durant exchanged stares before Doncic gave his teammates a sharp one-liner about the Suns.

Durant once said to Doncic, “You know that you’re not getting that in the playoffs.” Later, while sitting on the bench, Doncic said to his teammates, “I’ve never been so open in my life.”

KD to Luka: “You’re not getting that in the playoffs, you know that.”

Luka later on the bench: “I’ve never been open so much in my life.”

Earlier in the game, Durant had said to his teammates, “We’re not going to stop [Doncic] from scoring.”

Doncic and the Lakers had dropped their previous four games going into the match. LA had a shabby roster for a large portion of that run. LeBron James is still sidelined due to a groin issue, but they were considerably healthier on Sunday.

The center Jaxson Hayes scored 19 points and pulled down six rebounds in his comeback game against the Suns. Austin Reaves also contributed six assists, four rebounds, and 26 points. With 33 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists, Doncic was the player with the most points.
