Taking to press, Variety announced that the ratings for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards saw an increase from last year’s show. The outlet says that approximately 4.08 million viewers tuned in for the telecast.
That number is up 8% compared to last year’s show, which pulled in 3.78 million viewers.
Additionally, it marked the biggest audience for the show in four years.
To celebrate the occasion, Megan Thee Stallion took to Instagram to tout the news.
“Hotties did you know thee Hot Girl @vmas had its biggest audience in 4 YEARS yesterday,” she said.
The show also pulled in 66.7 million social media interactions.
