Madonna has teamed with Netflix to tell her story on her terms.

Together with filmmaker Shawn Levy, the Queen of Pop will bring her long-discussed biopic project to the streamer in the format of a limited series.

The yet-to-be-titled production will center on Madonna’s layered life and legendary music career.

Originally, the biopic venture was housed at Universal Pictures and was set to be a feature film. Those plans have clearly changed.

Madonna, who is deeply involved with all facets of the project (which has been started from scratch), has been vocal about her stance of wanting to ensure it meets her satisfaction.

It would appear the previously enlisted lead, three-time Emmy winner Julia Garner, ticks that box.

For, according to Deadline, Garner is likely to be onboard to play Madonna for this all-new project.
