Jung Kook Drops Debut Solo Album ‘Golden’ / Channels Michael Jackson in ‘Standing Next To You’ Music Video [Watch]

With a history-making Hot 100 #1 hit, ‘Seven‘ (featuring Latto), and top 5 smash, ‘3D‘ (featuring Jack Harlow), to his credit, BTS star Jung Kook came out the gate swinging for his debut solo era.

A dynamic setup for his first album by his lonesome, the November 3-dropped ‘Golden,’ Jung is undoubtedly hoping the project will see a similarly historic response on the Billboard 200 by the end of its inaugural sales tracking week.

In a bid to aid its success narrative, the 26-year-old K-Pop star has gifted another song from the 11-track studio effort the video treatment: the Watt & Cirkut-produced ‘Standing Next to You.’ Donning a military jacket with metallic embellishments and tassels in the clip, he pays subtle homage to Michael Jackson in the choreography-laden visual – even emulating some of the the King of Pop’s signature dance moves.
