Hudson, who hosts the ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show,’ will receive GLAAD’s Excellence in Media Award for championing allyship and promoting acceptance of LGBTQ people and issues.
Hudson joins recent previous winners including Maren Morris, Judith Light, Ava DuVernay, Patti LaBelle, and Debra Messing.
The ceremony will take place in New York and will be hosted by Ross Matthews at the Hilton Midtown.
The other main honoree of the night will be country singer Orville Peck who will be honored with the Vito Russo Award for elevating LGBTQ awareness in country music.
