Apparently, all Mariah Carey wants for Christmas is Hot 100 domination!

Just a week after (expectedly) reascending to the chart’s throne, Carey’s collected yet another frame atop the tally – a feat that’s accompanied with news of yet another milestone.

Boosted by sales of 7-inch and 12-inch vinyl, cassette, and CD singles in honor of its 30th anniversary, ‘All I Want for Christmas’ notched its 16th print at #1 this week.

Here are the numbers that powered the placement.

  • Streaming = 47.7 million U.S.-based streams
  • Sales = 6,000 downloads and physical singles
  • Radio = 25.7 million audience impressions

With the latest print at the top, ‘Christmas’ has tied Carey’s pre-existing record for longest-reigning #1 hit by a female artist – a mark she reached with the 16-week rule of the 1996 hit ‘One Sweet Day’ with Boyz II Men.

The reign of ‘Christmas,’ however, becomes the first time a woman has held the top spot for so long without accompaniment.

Mariah is now printed in Hot 100 history books for having the overall longest-ruling female hits (‘Day’ and ‘Christmas’ at 16 weeks each) as well as the second longest-reigning female hit (‘We Belong Together’ at 14 weeks).

She is the only female artist in history to boast having 3 songs own the top spot for over 10 weeks respectively and, thanks to her latest frame, she extends her reign as the performer with the most career weeks at #1 (95).
