Could the long-awaited ‘Girlfriends’ revival finally be on the cards?

It may well be, following words from one of the main cast of the hit sitcom.

Moments ago, actress Persia White took to Instagram to share a clip of herself on the Paramount Pictures lot – where ‘Girlfriends’ was originally shot.

As widely known, White starred as Lynn alongside Tracee Ellis Ross (Joan), Golden Brooks (Maya), Jill Marie Jones (Toni), and Persia White (Lynn) in the series which centered on the lives, loves, and losses of four friends.

Created by Mara Brock Akil), ‘Girlfriends’ was brought to an abrupt end after 8 seasons in 2008 during the writer’s strike at the time and as its home network (The CW) moved in a different direction with its shows.

Sharing a clip of herself leaving a meeting with the show’s executive producer Kelsey Grammer, White wrote:

“Hello Girlfriends! Just got out of a meeting with KELSEY GRAMMER on the Paramount Pictures lot! Good thing are brewing❣️”

White’s exciting hint comes Kelsey Grammer EXCLUSIVELY revealed to That Grape Juice that “we’re kicking around ideas now.”

In the years since ‘Girlfriends’ ceased airing, fans have continually called for a reboot. As reported, Akil made clear that she would be up to heed the request if the right price was attached to the production.

What’s more, in a move many saw as an incremental step to a possible revival, the cast reunited in 2019 for a surprise stint on ‘black-ish.’
