Booked and Busy! Garcelle Beauvais is expanding her partnership with Lifetime by starring in and executive producing multiple original movies.

Beauvais’ two new movies are ‘Taken at a Truck Stop: A Black Girl Missing Movie’ and ‘Terry McMillan Presents: Tempted 2 Love’. The former is a continuation of the ‘Black Girl Missing’ franchise. The latter is a sequel to ‘Tempted by Love’.

In ‘Taken at a Truck Stop’, the actress stars as Kai, a tough trucker and co-owner of her family’s business who uses her trucking network to find her neurodivergent niece, Toy, who’s abducted by an online predator.

‘Tempted 2 Love’ sees the actress reprise her role as Ava. Picking up where things left off after her break-up with Luke, the pair cross paths again in Ireland. Both with new partners, but their love and attraction for each other will force them to question things.

The former ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star expressed excitement about expanding with Lifetime. She says in a statement:

“I’m thrilled to continue telling stories that resonate deeply with audiences and put women—especially Black women—at the center. Working with Lifetime has given me the opportunity to expand narratives that are heartfelt, suspenseful, and full of purpose. Both of these films are incredibly special to me, and I can’t wait for audiences to experience them.”

Elaine Frontain Bryant, EVP and Head of Programming, A&E, Lifetime, and LMN, also praised the ‘Survival of the Thickest’ actress. Bryant said:

This news comes after ‘White House Down’ actress announced she was leaving the ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ back in March.
