Ex-CNN Anchor Don Lemon Will Spend His Summer Unbothered On The Beach + Lauren & Cameron Will Not Replace ‘Love Is Blind’ Hosts Nick & Vanessa

Don Lemon wants you to know he’s going to be FINE following his firing from CNN. Get the deets on what he has planned for the summer, plus details about which celebrity couple will be hosting “Love Is Blind” inside… Don Lemon is taking his recent firing from CNN in stride and is planning to enjoy his summer with some fun in the sun. Despite facing questions from various media outlets about his recent departure from CNN and future plans, the former anchor remained positive and upbeat, flashing smiles and good vibes. The 57-year-old journalist, who attended the Time 100 Gala with his husband,Tim Malone, 39, shared his plans when asked about his immediate future. ”I’m going to spend my summer on the beach, on the boat, and with my family. And I’ll just see what happens next,” he told EXTRA on the red carpet. “I don’t have to rush to another job — even if I want another job,” Don said on the red carpet. “I do. I want to work again. But I am lucky enough to be in a position where I don’t have to worry about those things. I am excited for a new chapter. Life is short.” Don expressed a positive outlook despite being let go by CNN after 17 years, stating that he was not upset about his termination after nearly two decades with the network. ”It's not in my nature. I'm not an angry person, I'm not mad," he said. "I'm a very resilient person. I've had a very full life with lots of twists and turns. I come from strong, sturdy stock in Louisiana and I am lucky enough to be in a position where I don't have to worry about, you know, not having a place to live or a home or whatever," the journalist continued. He took to social media to let his followers know that he had not been directly informed about his termination by the network, although the network denies that. CNN released a statement of their own saying that Don’s claim was "inaccurate" and that he was “offered an opportunity to meet with management but instead released a statement on Twitter.” While his controversial remarks about Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley caused backlash, reports also suggested that Don had been involved in other conflicts and altercations behind the scenes.
