Ahead of the September 17 release of her memoir, ‘Who’s That Girl?,’ Eve shared an excerpt from her book with People. In it, she talked about her time in the strip club, where she worked at 17.

“In my head, I was thinking, ‘I need to be grown now, and it’s the quickest way I can get out of the house,'” she shared. “But I was so bad at it. I was lazy,” she continued.

Eve ended up working at the strip club for two months before she met Mase, who would encourage her to rap instead.
