Future‘s latest album, ‘Mixtape Pluto,’ may reign atop the current Billboard 200 thanks to out-of-this-world total sales (overwhelmingly powered by streaming), but – when it comes to pure sales among the week’s new entries – it appears Katy Perry is Queen!

Katy Perry’s ‘143’ 

First-Week Sales (SPS):  48,000 units

Billboard 200 Debut:  #6

Shifting nearly 4 times as many pure sales as ‘Pluto,’ Perry’s seventh studio album ‘143’ – the week’s top-selling new album overall – dialed into the #6 spot on the updated Billboard 200.

And despite being her lowest opening position on the tally since 2008’s ‘One of the Boys’ arrived at #9, the attached total sales of her 2024 LP mark her highest since 2017’s ‘Witness‘ – keeping her career-long top 10s record intact.

The project – led by singles – ‘Woman’s World,’ ‘Lifetimes,’ and ‘I’m His, He’s Mine’ – saw its first-week sales figure aided by eight vinyl variants, a cassette tape edition, digital download variants (including deluxe and webstore-exclusive versions), and four physical CD editions.

Among all projects, only Chappell Roan‘s ‘Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess’ boasted higher pure sales with 56,000 units moved over the last commercial tracking week.
