Celine Dion has doubled down on her determination to return to stages around the world to deliver soaring renditions of her most beloved hits.

As reported here, Celine – via an NBC special that aired Tuesday (June 11) – took to NBC News to chat with Hoda Kotb about her rare neurological condition Stiff Person Syndrome and the upcoming documentary ‘I Am: Celine Dion.’

When not chatting about the intimate and highly anticipated Prime Video tell-all, Dion detailed the impact of the disease which at one time led her to rely heavily on deadly doses of pain medications.

“Ninety milligrams of Valium can kill you. You can stop breathing,” Dion told Kotb. “And at one point, the thing is that my body got used to it at 20 and 30 and 40 [milligrams], until it went up. And I needed that. It was relaxing my whole body.”

With her dependence on the prescription drugs behind her, the 5x GRAMMY winner says she is determined to return to performing live.

“I’m going to go back onstage, even if I have to crawl. Even if I have to talk with my hands, I will. I will,” she said.
