Unleashed on February 14, the LP arrives at an interesting juncture for the Canadian MC.
Indeed, the legal action he ignited with his own label (Universal Music Group) over Kendrick Lamar‘s dynamite diss ‘Not Like Us’ has kept the flame around the latter burning bright. And, in the wake of K. Dot’s Super Bowl Halftime Show performance, the song eyeing a return to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Still, it would appear that the masses are showing up and showing out for ‘$OME $EXY $ONGS 4 U’ – at least initially.
On Spotify, the album earned 56.6 million first-day streams on the global chart. It sees the LP deliver the second-biggest album debut of 2025 so far.
Over on Apple Music, the project reigns at #1 and is seeing various tracks reach pole position on the Top Songs tally.
As of writing, ‘Gimme Me A Hug’ replaced ‘CN Tower’ in the #1 spot.
