Brandy Says She Would “LOVE TO” Do a Tour or Vegas Residency with Monica: “I Just Want to Do More with Her in the Future”

Could ‘One Wish‘ singer Ray J finally be close to having his one wish of seeing big sister Brandy and her fellow R&B icon Monica hit the road for a joint tour?

On Wednesday (July 10), Brandy was all smiles at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California, for the premiere of her latest film ‘Descendants: Rise of Red’ ahead of its wide release on July 12.

Famously donning the glass slippers of Cinderella once more (over 25 years after she first made TV history for the role), the GRAMMY winner leads a cast full of familiar faces like Rita Ora, China Anne McClain, Paolo Montalban, Kylie Cantrall, Malia Baker, and more.

While rocking the red carpet, B-Rocka not only dished on the latest ‘Descendants’ installment but also her recent reunion with Monica aboard the Ariana Grande-led ‘Boy Is Mine‘ remix.

“The energy between me and Monica was so beautiful; I loved working with her this time. It was so great for [Ariana] to call us up to be a part it,” she told the press about ‘Boy.’ “She didn’t have to do that. Even though her song is called ‘The Boy Is Mine,’ she didn’t take anything from the original. She created a whole new song. So, to call us up and for her to pay homage that way is just such a blessing. I had a great time with Monica; I just want to do more with her in the future.”

When quizzed on what “more” could look like (given Monica’s recent expression of wanting to do another song with her), Brandy didn’t hesitate to suggest the sky’s the limit.

“I would love that,” she relayed in response to the idea of doing a new song with Mo. “I hit her up so much talking about all the things that we could do together. Tour, [Las Vegas] residency, everything. I really want that.”

The revelation comes as a timely one and both stars are working on new albums.
