Tom Brady Shares What He Won’t Do as a Commentator

As co-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, Tom Brady is preparing to enter the broadcast booth for his much-anticipated position with FOX Sports, and he’s already expressing his approach to the role — particularly what he plans to avoid.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots, who is widely considered one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, states he has no desire to severely criticize current players in his commentary.

Brady openly discussed his intentions as an analyst. His main goal isn’t to point out errors or take jabs at players, but instead to emphasize the positive aspects of the game and those who participate in it.

Brady explained: “How can I throw shade at someone who’s as amazing as he is? I know what he’s been through,”

“You realize it’s not about this harsh critique, and that’s really not what it’s all about anyway. To me, it’s more about, let’s point out the greatness of these individual players. Have fun. Enjoy it. Entertain a little bit. And really try to educate people a little bit.”

This mindset reflects Brady’s own journey. Throughout a two-decade career filled with achievements and records, he faced intense criticism from fans, commentators, and media figures. Now that he finds himself in the opposite position, Brady is opting to bring understanding into his role, providing a viewpoint he believes is often lacking in conventional sports commentary.
