Billboard Year-End Charts: Nicki Minaj Tops Doja Cat & Ice Spice To Be Named Female Rap Artist of the Year

‘Last Time I Saw You’ hitmaker Nicki Minaj last saw her named printed at #3 behind Latto and Doja Cat on Billboard’s Year-End Top Rap Artists (Female) chart thanks to her 2022 hits Super Freaky Girl,’ ‘Do We Have a Problem?, and others.

This year, however, she’s hopped to the front of the line.

Details inside.

Just days after learning she captured the Top Female Rap Artist trophy at the Billboard Music Awards for the first time in her career (November 19), Nicki found out her name was printed atop Billboard’s year-end list in the Top Female Rap category ahead of Doja Cat, Ice Spice, Coi Leray, and Cardi B.

Based mostly on the top 10 successes of her Spice-assisted singles ‘Princess Diana‘ and ‘Barbie World’ as well as the Hot 100 hits ‘Last Time I Saw You, ‘Alone (with Kim Petras),’ ‘Pound Town 2 (with Sexyy Red),’ and more, the Nicki news is particularly impressive as she did not drop a body of work this year (unlike Doja, Ice, and Coi respectively).

Among all genres, Minaj finished the year at #9 on the Top Female Artists list bested only by Cat and Spice (whose activity on Rap, Pop, R&B charts helped them score higher on the overall list) as well as Karol G, Beyonce, SZA, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, and Taylor Swift.
