The focus is on Cooper Flagg‘s success off the basketball court as well as his domination on it as he gets ready to enter the NBA. Just hours before the 2025 NBA Draft, Flagg’s academic record has become a source of discussion, even though he only played one season in Durham with the Duke Blue Devils.
Flagg is calm despite the tremendous pressure of being the anticipated first overall choice. He has frequently said that he is psychologically and physically ready for the limelight and that he is sure he can succeed at the next level, possibly with the Dallas Mavericks, who own the first choice in this year’s draft.
Cooper Flagg’s stunning GPA
As long as he remains healthy, ESPN analyst Jay Bilas thinks Flagg has all it takes to become a star as soon as he steps onto an NBA court. In addition to his uncommon skill on the court, Flagg has demonstrated remarkable intelligence and self-control for a two-year-old, traits that will help him succeed in the NBA.
The update was posted by the Duke Blue Devils basketball program’s official account, which further enhanced Cooper Flagg’s legend:
“What if Cooper Flagg is: the best defensive player in college basketball and leads the team in scoring, rebounding, assists, steals and blocks and got a 4.0 fall GPA and turned 18 last month?”

Considering how much time he spent on the court, the discovery shocked both fans and pundits. His flawless 4.0 GPA shows that intellectual and athletic success don’t have to be mutually exclusive; rather, they may work in tandem.
Expectations are high that Flagg will continue to successfully juggle his academic and athletic obligations, even if Duke has not yet released his spring semester grades.
