Taking to press, Billboard unveiled this week’s top 10 albums and V’s ‘Layover’ makes a major debut at #2. Because of its high debut, it now ties his bandmates Jimin and Suga for the highest-charting album by a Korean solo artist.
The album earned 100,000 equivalent album units with a massive 80,000 coming from traditional album sales alone. The project earned 9,000 streaming units and a. either 3,000 from track equivalent units.
The only album to keep V from the top spot was Olivia Rodrigo‘s ‘Guts,’ which earned over 300,000 total units during its debut week.
