Kanye West has found himself in the headlines once more. This time around, it is indirectly.

According to NBC News, the New York Police Department is now searching for a man who yelled “Kanye 2024” before assaulting a 63-year-old man earlier this month.

The man suffered “lacerations and a chipped tooth.” However, the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Twitter account said that “numerous anti-Jewish statements were made prior to the assault”. The man is in stable condition.

The news comes after Ye has been involved with a series of antisemitic remarks. He previously asked people to “forgive Hitler” and that he likes Hitler and that Hitler “did good things” (as we reported here).

This is also not the first time that Kanye’s name has been involved in an act of antisemitism. According to NME, in October a group hung a banner over a freeway in Los Angeles that read “Kanye is right about the Jews” and gave Nazi salutes.

West has not commented on the latest matter as of reporting.
