Excitement for the 2025 Super Bowl is rising to a feverish pitch as Hip-Hop heads prepare for the halftime show takeover of Kendrick Lamar.

Already sending enthusiasts into a frenzy over news his label (and future tour) mate SZA will be joining him as a special guest at the spectacle, fans began speculating who else will help Lamar crank out his biggest hits over the 10- to 15-minute performance slot.

And while names like Future, Lil Wayne, The Weeknd, Janet Jackson, and Metro Boomin remain among the most-mentioned guesses, the rumor mill swirled with murmurs Pop megastar Taylor Swift and Rap superstar Tyler, the Creator would be making supportive appearances on-stage at the New Orleans Caesars Superdome on Sunday (February 9).

The jury may be out on the former, but the verdict is in on the latter.

After the Super Bowl Halftime Show sponsors Apple Music unveiled its official trailer, Internet sleuths began deciphering what they believed were clues Creator (born Tyler Gregory Okonma) would be among Lamar’s guests.

Among said “clues” were references to the military imagery tied to his chart-topping ‘Chromakopia’ album as well as a cryptic message Tyler left on Kendrick’s Instagram.

However, the ‘Sticky‘ hitmaker cleared up all the messiness of the rumor mill when he took to Instagram on Friday (January 31).

“N-gga im on tour i will not be at [a] football game yall better watch kenny,” he wrote as a response to a comment on the topic (as seen above).

The jaunt referenced is the ‘Chromakopia Tour,’ which is slated to kick off in Minnesota on February 4.

At the time of this report, however, there is not a performance date scheduled for February 9 that would conflict with him making an appearance at the Super Bowl.

With Okonma out of the picture, speculators turned their attention to Taylor who is expected to be in the house in New Orleans as her boyfriend – Travis Kelce – will be playing for the Kansas City Chiefs at the big game.

When a photo of Swift was posted after the Chiefs’ AFC championship (seen above), the singer’s fans (affectionately called #Swifties) not only believed it served as confirmation she will be in attendance but only increased circulation of whispers she may join Kendrick on stage to perform their 2014 smash ‘Bad Blood.’

One of his biggest hits yet, ‘Blood’ marked a milestone in the rapper’s career as his first Billboard Hot 100 no. 1 hit.

At writing, however, Lamar nor Swift has confirmed if she will be performing.  We may just have to wait to find out on February 9.
