Anthony Edwards Gets Nullified as the Timberwolves Get Closer to Elimination

In Game 1 of the Western Conference finals last week, Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards knew precisely what he had to do to help his team win the series after being held to only 18 points on 13 shot attempts.

What he said: “I’ve definitely got to shoot more,” “I only took 13 f—ing shots.”

Minnesota was behind 2-1 in the series going into yesterday night’s Game 4. You know what happened? Again, he took just thirteen f—ing shots.

After being restricted to 16 points, which was only the fourth occasion in his 41 career playoff games that he did not score at least 18, the Oklahoma City Thunder prevailed 128–126 to establish a 3–1 series lead. In Oklahoma City, they can wrap up the series tomorrow evening.

As you may imagine, Minnesota was behind 2-1 in the series going into Game 4 last night. Once more, he only took thirteen f—ing shots.

The Oklahoma City Thunder held on for a 128–126 victory to take a 3–1 series lead after holding Edwards to 16 points, only the fourth time in his 41 career playoff games that he did not score at least 18 points. Tomorrow night in Oklahoma City, they can wrap up the series.

Not that Edwards wasn’t attempting to become more offensively active. He had an extremely difficult night because of the league-best defense of the Thunder.

Throughout the game, Luguentz Dort and Alex Caruso surrounded Edwards, forcing him to attempt to let other players take the brunt of the pressure. And they did.
