Sweet love is the last thing Queen of Quiet Storm Anita Baker had on her mind when she took to Twitter Tuesday (June 13) to announce she booted Babyface from their hotly-selling North American tour.

As we reported last month, the drama started when Babyface (born Kenny Edmonds) was unexpectedly axed from the jaunt’s New Jersey date – an incident both parties suggested was out of their hands due to “technical difficulties.”
And while Edmonds made clear there was no beef between them, his fans weren’t buying it – some even taking to social media to slam the diva for what has been reported as primadonna behavior.
Last week Baker hit back at the allegations one by one as some not only mentioned her believed beef with Babyface but also rumored feuds with Maxwell and late R&B legend Luther Vandross.
That defense continued this week when Anita not only suggested she was being “harassed and targeted” by Edmonds’ fans but that he was encouraging the behavior by remaining silent.
Finally having enough, the ‘Giving You the Best That I Got’ singer announced she thought it was best she finished the tour alone in “the interest of personal safety.”

At the time of this report Edmonds has not issued a statement on Baker’s shocking announcement.
