Angel Reese Might Request a Trade After Loss

The first game of Angel Reese‘s WNBA career with the Chicago Sky did not go as expected. Fans are left wondering how long Reese will remain dedicated to her new squad after Chicago’s crushing 93-58 loss against Indiana Fever standout Caitlin Clark on Saturday in their eagerly awaited matchup.

Sports columnist Jason Whitlock, who posted a controversial forecast on social media, was one of those stoking the flames. In a post on X, Whitlock raised questions about whether the Sky newbie would soon become irritated with her environment:

“I’m setting the over-under on when Angel Reese demands a trade at July 1,”

The Sky made significant offseason changes, including hiring veterans Courtney Vandersloot, Kia Nurse, Rebecca Allen, and Ariel Atkins to add experience, and replacing longtime head coach Teresa Weatherspoon with Tyler Marsh.

A new era was also marked by the team’s selection of youngsters Maddy Westbeld and Hailey Van Lith. However, Chicago appeared disorganized in their season opener, missing a playmaker or go-to scorer to steady the offense, even with the roster change.
