50 Cent Confirms He’s Turning Eminem’s ‘8 Mile’ Into a TV Series

After making a seismic mark on the music industry, 50 Cent has expanded his empire by lending his Midas touch to TV screens.

Indeed, the multihyphenate is responsible for bringing culture-shifting shows such as ‘Power’ and ‘BMF’ to the masses.

Now, as he sets sail on a new journey, the mogul has revealed that one of his next projects is centered around his friend and longtime collaborator Eminem.

Full story below…

Speaking during an appearance on Big Boy In The Neighborhood, 50 shared that he’s turning Em’s 2002 big-screen biopic ‘8 Mile’ into a televised series.

Trumpeting the news, he said: “I’m gonna bring his ‘8 Mile’ to television.”

When quizzed about whether Slim Shady knows and how far along said plans are, 50 confirmed:

“He knows. It’s in motion. It’s gonna be big. I ain’t got no duds. I bat 100.”

Asked whether it’s needed and what the broader intent is for pressing ahead with the series, Fif replied:

“Yeah, I think it should be there for his legacy. It’s important to me that they understand it.”

As widely documented, Eminem “discovered,” signed, and championed 50 in the early 2000s. Individually and collectively they reigned as two of Hip-Hop’s most successful heavyweights and left a mark that is forever imprinted in history and boast a narrative that is forever intertwined. Hence, it’s easy to see why this is a passion project for Curtis.

Still, with ‘8 Mile’ being the classic and box office smash it is (having drummed up more than $240 million globally on a $40 million budget), expectations will no doubt be tall.

In the here and now, we want to know: would you be checking for an ‘8 Mile’ TV show?
