"black-ish" creator Kenya Barris and Jonah Hill, who stars in the film, teamed up to write the script for Barris’ feature directorial debut. The film follows a heavily tattooed white Jewish man, Ezra (played by Jonah Hill), who falls in love with Amira (played by Lauren London), a Black woman whose father (played by Eddie Murphy) identifies as Muslim, and the friction between their families. You People also stars Mike Epps, Lala Anthony, Yung Miami Emily Arlook, Deon Cole, David Duchovny, Sam Jay, Elliott Gould, Travis Bennett, Molly Gordon, Rhea Perlman, Andrea Savage, Bryan Greenberg, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. She dished on her favorite memory from starring in Snoop Dogg’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot” music video, where she ended up casting half of her friends and family back when she was the assistant to the director. And he had this big van parked in the valet and I’m like trying to get in, I’m honkin’ like, ‘who is blocking?'” ”And he comes out, like, ‘I think I’m supposed to meet you today.’ And I’m like, ‘oh, you are.
