Skylar Diggins of the Seattle Storm has filed for divorce from her husband of eight years, Daniel Smith. In 2017, Diggins, a guard for the WNBA, wed Smith in a ceremony held in Chicago. at Washington, she filed for a dissolution of marriage at King County Superior Court.
According to paperwork acquired by PEOPLE, the couple’s separation date is set as November 1, 2024. The documents included in the request stated, “This marriage is irretrievably broken.” Spousal support is not required, and the couple has no prenuptial agreement.
Ana Lia Irie Smith, age 2, and Rowen Seven Smith, age 6, are the couple’s two children.
It is agreed that Smith will cover the costs of childcare, education, and post-secondary education (college or vocational school) in order to pay child support.
Diggins, 34, instructed reporters to omit the “Smith” from her last name during a news conference on April 29. She claimed that people had always referred to her as “whatever you want to call me anyways.”
