Travis Hunter, the star player for the Colorado Buffaloes, earned millions of dollars in NIL this season, which is fortunate. To purchase an enormous trophy case, he will require a sizable sum of money.
Hunter was awarded the 2024 Breakout Star of the Year by Sports Illustrated last week. The accolade comes after Hunter’s incredible college football season and is the most recent in a long line of achievements. On Tuesday, Hunter shared a vlog on YouTube that described his most recent triumph. He talked about winning so many different awards in it.
He said: “First, I want to thank God… don’t know where I’d be this year without just praying every night… I want to thank my family, everybody around the Colorado program… I think I took home seven awards [this year]. That’s kind of a lot. I didn’t envision that… I wrote my goals down… and I believed in it. But I didn’t think it’d happen to this certain extent.”
Travis Hunter spoke about his biggest goal
Hunter went on to say that winning the Heisman Trophy was his greatest goal. In a close contest, he defeated Boise State and ran back Ashton Jeanty. The Walter Camp Award, Fred Biletnikoff Award, Chuck Bednarik Award, Lott IMPACT Trophy, and Paul Hornung Award were among his five additional NCAA honors. His seventh prize was from Sports Illustrated.
“I didn’t write seven awards down. I wanted to win the Heisman [Trophy]. Yeah.. I got to do that, but I won seven awards… [they] mean a lot to me, and I hope they mean a lot to my family and everybody that’s been watching me this far. This year has been very special, [but I’ve] got more to prove for next year. [I] thank everybody for coming out and supporting me.”
Hunter presently has the third-best odds (+1000) to be selected first overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. On April 24, he will learn where his professional career will start.
