Tory Lanez Unveils ‘Violet’ Video & Announces ‘Alone at Prom’ Deluxe After Second Bid for Bond Denied by Judge

Tory Lanez may be currently serving a 10-year prison sentence for shooting fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion, but the Canadian hitmaker isn’t letting that stop him from serving new music to his diehard fans.

Details inside.

Nearly two years after dropping his sixth studio album, ‘Alone at Prom,’ Tory (born Daystar Peterson) took to Twitter on Monday (November 6) to reveal the project is getting a reboot thanks to a deluxe edition.

The embattled rapper – who previously hinted at dropping new music in September – is set to fulfill that promise when the project lands on digital shelves on November 17.

Ahead of the recharged LP’s arrival, he gifted fan favorite ‘The Color Violet’ the video treatment. See it below.

The ‘Prom’ news comes just two weeks after Lanez learned his second attempt at bond had been denied by a judge from the California Court of Appeals. He was previously denied in September.

Peterson “stands convicted of a violent felony, which is a factor a court shall consider in determining whether the defendant poses a danger to the community,” the written ruling reads. The judge also believes the hitmaking rapper is “a potential flight risk” due to his Canadian citizenship.

As a result, Daystar is expected to serve up to six months in the medium-security North Kern State Prison in California before being transported to a longterm facility for the remainder of his 10-year sentence (unless his appeal attempt is successful).
