T-Pain Claims Drake Didn’t Take His OWN ADVICE to Gracefully Exit The Music Industry

T-Pain gives his take on how he thinks Drake dismissed his own advice about overstaying his welcome in the music industry.

In an interview on the ‘Crash Dummies’ podcast, Pain took note from the ‘Nokia’ rapper about bowing out gracefully. Instead, he says, the rapper didn’t do the same, and became the person he didn’t want to be. He says:

“One thing I learned from Drake, but one thing he hasn’t followed his own words. Drake said, ‘I wanna be one of them people that gracefully bow out and not get kicked out…I have ever since said, ‘Thank y’all, I appreciate y’all. I’ll see y’all when I drop—don’t worry about it, I’ll just drop something. Let me know if you heard it. Drake is like, ‘No, listen, OK, I got another one. Hold on, check this out. Y’all ain’t like that one? OK, real quick, just one more. Let me try one more.”

The ‘I’m Sprung’ singer further explains his take on bowing out gracefully himself. He states:

“Like, when he said that ‘I wanna gracefully bow out and not get kicked out,’ I was like, ‘You know what? I’m out this b***h.’ I’m out this motherf****r. I’m not trying to impress y’all n****s. Y’all n****s don’t give a f**k if I live or die. Why the f**k would I keep trying to impress y’all? I’m out. I’m done. I did everything that I’m trying to do. I changed the game. I made a sound. What else?”

The advice the ‘Bartender’ singer is referring to is a 2023 interview that the ‘One Dance’ emcee did with Lil Yachty.

Earlier this year, T-Pain even suggested the rapstar and PARTYNEXTDOOR‘s ‘$ome $exy $ongs 4 U’ album was leftover tracks from past sessions. Waxing candid, he quipped:

“I feel like [Drake] recorded a bunch of sh**. And in order to keep [PARTYNEXTDOOR] around, I feel like you could take 10 or 15 of these songs, put a verse on them b*****s PARTY, and that’s our album bro.”

Do you agree with T-Pain?
