Snoop Dogg has officially inked a multi-year creative partnership with NBCUniversal Entertainment & Studios.

This deal marks a new chapter in the MC’s legacy, and it’s starting with a project fans have been craving for years: the official Snoop Dogg biopic. 

The long-anticipated film will chronicle Snoop’s rise from Long Beach streets to global superstardom, with a powerhouse team behind it. 

Joe Robert Cole, the mind who co-wrote ‘Black Panther’, is crafting the script, while production will be led by Snoop himself, alongside Oscar-winning producer Brian Grazer and Death Row Pictures President Sara Ramaker. 

Snoop said of the project:

“Not everyone has the courage and vision to see what Death Row Pictures can bring to the table, but Donna and the NBCUniversal team have always understood,” Snoop said. “That’s why I’m proud to call NBCUniversal my new home. The Dogg has officially moved into the neighborhood, ya dig?”

From executive suites to studio sets, Snoop Dogg is building an entertainment empire, and NBCUniversal is all in. 

Donna Langley, Chairman of NBCUniversal, didn’t hold back her excitement:

“There’s only one Snoop. Audiences around the world loves him and connects with his showmanship, creativity, and authenticity. He’s a force—and we’re thrilled to have him join our roster of creative partners.”

Snoop is also making his return to NBC’s The Voice for Season 28 this fall, reclaiming his red chair after taking a break this season.

Whether it’s redefining music television or bringing West Coast Rap history to life on screen, this partnership is just getting started.
