Scottie Pippen Claims Michael Jordan Was Never His “Friend”

Because of their illustrious tenure with the Chicago Bulls, Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen are the most famous team in NBA history. Pippen recently made an unexpected statement regarding his relationship with Jordan, despite their extraordinary success (via Valuetainment).

“Michael is a very difficult person to deal with… Great teammate, but we just never were great friends… I guess the last three championships that we won, we trained together at his house, but other than that, we didn’t really put a lot of time in away from basketball. Most of our time was spent whether we we’re working out or on the practice floor.”

They never went to supper together (alone), Pippen added.

Jordan and Pippen played together for ten seasons. They won six NBA Championships during that time. Jordan never won any of his championships without Pippen, despite the fact that many people consider him to be the best player of all time.

Pippen shot 47.3% from the field and 32.6% from three-point range in 1,178 games throughout his 17-year career, averaging 16.1 points, 6.4 points, 5.2 assists, and 2.0 steals a game.

In addition to the Bulls, he played for the Portland Trail Blazers and Houston Rockets.
