Robert Horry Claims He Deserves To Be In Hall of Fame

Robert Horry told TMZ Sports he knows he fits the criteria to be in the Hall of Fame … but at the end of the day, he’s not sweating it if the powers that be think otherwise.

TMZ questioned him all about how he’s still waiting for his spot among the all-time greats. Horry thinks people need to recognize the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame highlights more than just one’s NBA career.

He stated: “It’s about your basketball career, not what you did in the NBA,”. “I know what I did throughout my career as a basketball player, those are Hall of Fame stats.”

He played for four different teams throughout his 16-year career in the Association. Serving in whatever capacity a team required, he went on to win seven NBA titles.

He was given the moniker “Big Shot Bob” due to his ability to make crucial shots during several memorable playoff moments.

While in college, he played a key role in guiding Alabama to win three SEC championships and to participate in four NCAA tournaments. Even now, he holds the record at the school for the most blocked shots, totaling 286.
