Paul George Gets Blunt About 76ERS’ Season

The Chicago Bulls defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 142-110 on Monday night. In 30 minutes of action, Paul George shot 8/16 from the field and 2/7 from three-point range, finishing the game with 19 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks.

The nine-time NBA All-Star expressed his thoughts on the 76ers’ current situation quite clearly after the game.

George (via PHLY Sports’ Derek Bodner): “We’ve shown no sign of a team that will compete… We just don’t have the habits of a champion, or a playoff contending team, would have. To be honest, right now, it’s a little far-fetched. All we can do is work hard and try to just keep going for one another.”

Does Paul George have a reason to be this critical ?

The 2024–25 season for the 76ers has been incredibly poor. With a 20-37 record in 57 games, they are ranked as the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference.

The 76ers are currently in the midst of an eight-game losing streak and have only gone 1-9 over the last ten games. After playing with the LA Clippers for five seasons, George inked a contract with the 76ers during the summer.

With Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, they were predicted to be a strong Eastern Conference squad. The 76ers will face Karl-Anthony Towns and the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday for their next game after the Bulls.

They have lost 10–17 of their 27 away games from the Wells Fargo Center.
